By now, any war buff should have this wonderfully told story in their collection. It's obvious the production values are of high quality throughout the 6 disc set.
As for the actual series, it has everything you would expect from a WW2 and more. The emotion and bonds, attention to detail and inclusion of the real life war heroes before each chapter all add up to make this great series.
For anyone even remotely interested in WW2 then you have to get this especially at this new price.

At the time of production, this TV series was considered the most expensive one of its time. Its gripping, dramatic and intense, with a brilliant start of Basic Training with the squads Instructer (played by David Schwimmer) and how this bond is formed between the men and their hatred for the Instructers abuse through training and his own inabilities to lead them.
I actually took two full days off work (being terribly sick with flu) got snacks and crashed on the couch watching the entire series of Band of Brothers.
I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in war history and dramas, like Enemy at the Gates, Saving Private Ryan, etc.

Totally awesome series. Ive always wanted this and my wife finally got me it. This set has the makers extras on the end disc and it rocks.

The series was on TV here in NZ and I loved it. Then I saw that my mate had the DVDs I asked if i could borrow them. Seriously by the end of each series I was cry it just such a brilliant series ever moment really well depicted. I would be honoured to own a copy of the DVD's some time. Pure Brilliance no less!!!

I watched this series in the UK and had to buy it on dvd. It was graphic and well presented. All in all I have seen it about 6 times and can never get bored of it. I would also suggest you read the book after watching this a few times. The book then comes alive. Everything about these dvd's are great and the add-on's with the old fighters bring a tear to your eyes as you can feel there pain by looking at them...
