Product Description
The popular Project Gotham Racing franchise zooms onto the Xbox 360, expanding many of the Project Gotham Racing features gamers have grown to love. Project Gotham Racing 3 creates the ultimate roster of the hottest supercars in existence, introduces them to the high-definition era, and drops them into a completely new gaming world, where style rules the road. Racers define and create individually customized gameplay, and can race each other - on or offline.
Enhanced and refined gameplay reintroduces racers to the familiar Kudos system with a completely original user-driven experience that lets gamers race what they want, where they want. Gamers drive with style and daring to earn Kudos in front of large crowds, and win badges to reward their skills in all areas of the game.
With a whole new take on accessibility offered by the innovative and user-friendly GothamTV, Project Gotham Racing 3 becomes even more like a real sport, offline and online. Unparalleled online features allow racers to compete for the right to become the Gotham World Champion, live on GothamTV. With a whole host of new racing modes, custom races, community support and campaigns, Project Gotham Racing 3 takes advantage of the online advances Xbox 360 has to offer.
Features:
The original Kudos challenge. Speed alone will not win this race. Project Gotham Racing 3 rewards the best drivers for their ability to execute bold moves as they race. Powersliding, pulling off a 360, getting airtime, staying on the race line, drafting and getting up on two wheels will earn gamers Kudos points for their style and skill.
The ultimate supercar collection. Gamers can live out all their dream car fantasies as they own more cool cars than they ever thought possible. Players can take the wheel of more than 80 authentically modeled and licensed supercars from manufacturers such as Ferrari, Dodge and Lamborghini. With fully modeled interiors, functioning dashboards and individually recorded engine roars, life truly begins at 170.
A world of living, breathing cities. Project Gotham Racing 3 transports gamers to intricately modeled popular locations, including New York, Tokyo and multiple other cities. The tracks are brought to life and populated by thousands of people in the crowds - all motion-captured - making Project Gotham Racing 3 a racing game that really has to be seen to be believed.
GothamTV takes gamers online with Xbox Live. Project Gotham Racing 3 exploits next-generation worldwide connectivity to let drivers show off in front of a global online audience. With GothamTV, gamers can watch any player in the world on live news feeds, get live ticker-tape information when friends break records, and compete with anyone, anywhere, anytime. Drivers can choose to casually involve themselves in the online side of GothamTV or set out to climb the ranks and conquer the entire institution of worldwide Project Gotham Racing 3 racers.
Customized gameplay. Gamers have asked to race their own way, and now they can. No longer are gamers forced to race cars they don’t want or battle through the game just to see a city they want; how gamers play the game, and in which car, is now in their hands. And if they want to show their friends, they can go online and challenge them.
Real life in the living room. Gamers can take their Xbox 360, Project Gotham Racing 3 a television with HDTV and a Dolby 5.1 setup, plug it in and take it away. With individually recorded engine sounds, ambient recordings at every real-life location and GothamTV’s unique user interface, Project Gotham Racing 3 gamers are stepping into a whole new reality.

I got the Massive Entertainment Pack mainly for the controller, but I was surprised how good this is. It's actually really fun, and works really well as two-player through one console.
awesome

Best Racer on the 360
Reviewed by Matt from Auckland, NZ on May 18th, 2006
Project Gotham Racing 3 is still the best racing game for the Xbox 360 console and I expect it will remain the standard by which others are judged until the sequel to Forza Motorsport is released.
The addition of a true in-car view is a welcome change and with the 360's graphical horsepower it really does add to the experience with a full interior - you can see the steering wheel, various parts of the dashboard, real rear- and side- view mirrows as well as various light effects on the car's very detailed windscreen.
Career variation is sufficient, with tasks including basic street races, one-on-one races, style challenges and more. You start at a low level, but that's still good enough for a pretty powerful car, and the likes of Ferrari won't take too long to achieve. Vehicle handling is distinctive depending on what you're driving and you'll find that a 4WD Skyline GT-R is a whole lot easier to handle than a rear wheel drive Corvette.
Xbox Live integration is really, really good, with scoreboards downloaded in real-time after you complete a given race so you can see how your score compares with other gamers around the world. Actual online racing is effortless and "Gotham TV" lets you tune in to and watch live races featuring some of the games best, if you're in to that sort of thing.
If the game is lacking anything it's the ability to upgrade your car through part purchases, as well as a genuine Gran Turismo-style career mode. Additionally, there is no real damage model in the game and the only real detriment to hitting walls is the loss of momentum. We'll have to wait for Forza 2 for that.
