I believe that its a great game with a great story. The combat is easy to get used to, you just point and pull the trigger. Its easy to find your way around because theres a quest arrow on your compass pointing the right way. I dont understand the below reviewers. I think its great
Just Average... Boring

Same boringness seen in games like these for years. Nothing new, you have to play for hours to get anywhere, not very thrilling and people seem to say they love it but its all talk.
Deep down people have something inside that says "rubbish" but hate to admit it because it's Oblivion.
I say... YAWN
Dissappointing, Waste of $$.

Somewhat dissappointing. After all the hype and from reading reviews, I bought this game expecting to me amazed.
Instead, I was completely and utterly dissppointed.
Combat is hard to get used to, and overall boring.
As for new players, there isn't enough help along quests- It just says "Find _____" or "Head to the town of _____", and then you need to spend ages trying to find the right way to go.
The ONLY average thing about this game is the graphics, which I'll admit are quite something.
I found this game completely boring, and an utter waste of $50. I DO NOT reccommend this game to anyone.
great game recommended

great port of the pc version, game runs fast (With only a little drop in fps when loading a massive level) and looks rather nice. Great control scheme. My only gripe is the lag in the Save/load menu.
Okay.....

The game has a HUGE map which is all good, except it's pretty much the same stuff over and over again. NPC's are REALLY boring to talk to and drive you insane. Grass and trees look really cool (novelty of that wears off fairly quick tho).
Over all id say it was an okay game, wouldn't be recommending it to anyone tho.
BE WARNED: Every character in the entire game is really ugly.... I'm not sure why they had to make them like that... but they did.

Yep I've Had This Game Since Its Release And I Still Play It For The Odd Walk In The Woods.
The Graphics Are Still Good, Sound Is Great In 7.1 Makes You Feel Like Your At The Beach Or In The Woods, Story Is Good And The Side Quests Will Keep You Busy For Months, Only Bad Point Is They Dropped A Few Things From Morrowind That I Liked, werewolves, levitation, And A Load Of Items.
Well Worth Buying

Because you won't be needing it for a few weeks, or days depending on how addicted you are. This game is in a league of its own, and I have never played a game that let you do so much, customize so much and explore so much. It is truly the most perfect RPG out to date in my belief, and I think all 360 owners should own it, regardless of their taste in games. It took me at least 100 hours to get my fill, so it was well worth the money, and just when you think you've done everything, some quest will pop up and surprise you. The graphics are surprising, considering the mass of the game; you would think they would have to sacrifice something. The main quest was a little disappointing, but the rest made up for it. I think if you talk to anyone that has played Oblivion, they won't have much bad to say. Awesome game.

****This game is Incredible****

This game is amazing! The Graphics are very realistic with a free roaming enviroment. This game is just like GTA but set in Medievil times. There is so much to do in this game including riding horses, customizing your character, Quests, Talking to NPC's (Non Playable characters) etc. If you are one of those people who are into RPG's set in Medievil times, slaughtering your enemies and becoming the Champion. This is a ****MUST BUY GAME**** for you to enjoy. :)
Immense and amazing

Having just finished the main questline and various sidequests in around 50 hours of game time, and with heaps left to do, it's fair to say that the world of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is vast. I have never played a game that felt so overwhelming and yet so captivating simultaneously; Oblivion draws you in to its fully-realised world with an amazing mix of questing and adventuring that never leaves you with nothing to do but at the same time rarely forces you to do anything.
The world itself is breathtaking, and a great showcase for the Xbox 360. Outdoor environments look particularly awesome, although it's worth mentioning that occasional frame rate problems do surface but in my experience these never affected the gameplay whilst in combat or anything else important.
There's far too much to say about Oblivion and I could go on for pages if this review would let me and if I had the desire, but suffice to say that it's a must-own for any role-playing gamer and perhaps a title worthy of purchasing an Xbox 360 to play. It's that good.

This game looks amazing. Elder scrolls 3: Morrowind was an still as the role playing game however Oblivion looks as if it will easily surpass it. This is a must have for your 360, in fact this game could easily qualify as the sole reason for buying a 360.
I believe that the people who will most appreciate this game are the people who know that fable is not a true rpg.
This game is for you rpg addicts it will be the untilmate rpg and lets face it bethsda have never let us down before!
