Good game from the NFS team
Reviewed by Michael from Wellington on May 27th, 2007
I've been really pleased with this game so far. I think the storyline is good and simple. The cars in the game are quite good (one thing the NFS team could have in there games are motorbikes).
The graphics in the game are are the only let down to me. But i think the NFS team are trying to work on this for there next game.
All together i am really pleased with this game.
Better than before

Well, after about a year, we have another great game from the NFS team, Need For Speed - Carbon. Was it worth the wait? I personally think it wasn't that great. I was kinda dissapointed as I had been waiting for this particular game to arrive since August late. Well, the game feels pretty much like the one it's based on. The cars are an exact replica of the cars from NEed For Speed - Most Wanted. I don't think they added much other cars to the game. However, it was good to be able to choose from the cars you would like to buy instead of always buying a car from only one selection.
One thing that struck me the most was the terrible (and I mean TERRIBLE) steering when you are starting out from 0~50mph. The car slips and slides like it were 'Exotics on Ice'. IT takes a while to get used to but you tend not to think too much of it as the game progresses as you experience some glitches during game play. One particular glitch that got me was the one where a section of the road is NOT there! All you see is the backdrop'cos the section is completely missing. I gotta admit, it gets a little scary as you drive over nothingness...
IT had a good storyline. The grahpics, the art...but the ending has a real twist and just cries out...'WTF'...It seems they were desperate to end the game. OH well, others might enjoy more than I did.
The game only took me 10:49:29 to complete. Kinda short.
One thing I love about the game is the extremely short loading time (compared to Midnight CLub 3 - Dub Edition) and the fact that cops will chase you around the place and it gets quite hands on.
