Far from "Stupid"

Pay no attention to the last comment, this game is far from stupid. This is the best pc game to date. After playing, you will agree too. You have to install patches because, unlike EA, Relic actually fix bugs in their games. Also the most recent patch enable Direct X 10 functionality, to this is the first retail game with DIRECT X 10 GRAPHICS! And it has very few bugs, and runs very smoothly.
This game has great missions following a great storyline during World War Two. It will keep you busy for hours just offline. The online experience is even more amazing, and you will not grow tired of this game for months.
The graphics are incredible even without Direct X 10, and with a compatible graphics card the graphics would be absolutely staggering. The sound effects are on par with the high graphic standards. It is a very exciting immersive game.
If you have a PC that can run this and you are willing to spend an hour downloading and installing patches you will not regret it. This game is must-have for any PC gamer.
 | No problems here

Possibly the best RTS I have played in awhile, well at least since Starcraft. Check the system requirements before installing, and if you have taken the time to get your computer up to date, then there should be no problems.
The game does have a few bugs, which are solved in the patches but nothing to ruin the out of box playing ability. The patches also provide minor tweaks to enhance the gaming experience.
The graphics are good (not amazing) but the engine is truly spectacular. Artillery barrages leave craters which can be used as cover, walls can be destroyed by a rocket, allowing you to outflank the enemy positions, troops shoot out of windows, and positions themselves according to the incoming threat.
The great gameplay far outweighs any bugs or glitches, but as with all PC games, check the system requirements first. If your machine is on the borderline then dont expect an amazing framerate.
Simply the best.

Flat out wicked this is by far one of the best looking strategy games i have ever come across it provide a lot of decent game play and the ability to play over in skirmish modes. Bummer about servers on the net could be better but if you download update patch from Australian gamers site you only have to get one instead of about 7 and its about 100mb just google company of heroes patch on aussy google. Best strategy game i have ever played.
This game is stupid!

Where to start...this game is full of bugs...is difficult to install and requires hours and hours and hours of downloading patches and setting up drivers and settings in your computor to even get it to run...absolutley ridiculous...Dont think you can just bang the cd in and play cause it aint gonna happen...i reckon theres probably more setup time than gameplay time on this......
One of the best games ever

I'm not usually the biggest RTS fan, but this game keeps me coming back for more.
The squad control is great, there is an active online community, single player AI isn't bad for starting off with (maybe a little difficult on normal until you get your head around it). The depth of the game and visuals are equally amazing.
So in summary, if your computer can handle it, get it.
A fantastic 3rd person game!!!

WOW this game is great !!!
I cant wait untill they bring out the expansion/ s.
There are a number of mods and extra maps already available online to bring even further hours of extreme entertainment for the serious stategist.
Finally, a great RTS game!

This is the way a RTS game should be, it's as simple as that: great graphics, wonderful sound, fun gameplay and full of challenges. The game is quite realistic and the AI, while not at the postgraduate level, is smart enough to keep you on your feet. The most annoying thing during any mission is trying to build sound defenses so the enemy doesn't sneak in behind your lines and create havock. The total destruction of the game environment really brings the battles to life and adds an extra layer to your tactics (blowing up a wall to outflank your opponents). One problem I do have is when a squad of 6 seemingly can't destroy 1 guy and flamethrowers (in your enemy's hands) are a pain in the a$$. Other than that, this game is a must buy if you enjoy RTS games. One word of caution: play it on easy until you get the hang of it, because things can get crazy!

Game of 2006
Reviewed by Daniel from Auckland on October 30th, 2006
Wow this is a fantastic game if you have to get any game this is a must have for your collection.
Up until now WWII has been very hard to make into a good RTS the graphics are mint and all the little voice bits are very funny. From the American P47 Bombing and Strafing runs to the German Tiger Ace this game has it all, lets hope the make more expansions, America didn't win the war on their own after all, bring on the Reds I say!
