Not entirely classic

This is a good pad, and would have scored higher if it were not for the misleading description text. The product description suggests that you can use the pad to play your Gamecube games on Wii, but that is not the case. Quite disappointing. A must have for avid Virtual Console fanatics, and looks like it may be the controller of choice for Super Smash Bros.
Great for VC games

Great controller, but why would you *ahem* other review* give something a bad review because YOU didn't do your homework. But it is true. It only plays Virtual Console games. But there is 6 or so different virtual consoles ON Virtual Console. And all of these (eg. SNES, N64) DON'T necessarily work with the wii remote, or gamecube controller.
So buy one of these as it is your best bet you can therefore play ALL the types of VC games on the Wii !!!
Don't buy it for anything else, as all it is good for is VC games.

Excellent controller for the old-school games, nice white finish matches with the Wii. Very comfortable. P.S. I would highly recommend downloading 'The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time'. Extremely good game.
DOESN'T WORK WITH GAMECUBE GAMES

It is a worthy buy if you are a virtual console gamer.
But that's all it's good for.
Bought one under the impression that i could play Gamecube games with it but it turns out i can't so that was rather disappointing.
