Product Description
Includes a Wii Remote and the compilation pack Wii Play which includes the following games:
Table Tennis
The game is one and two players and is basically a game of Pong,
rallying back and forth by moving the Wii remote. The Mii characters are
supported, and are represented by the audience. As the game progresses,
the audience grows larger.
Laser Hockey
Played like air hockey, this is a two player game where the players
move the Wii remote up and down to deflect shots and try to score in the
opponents goal. Twisting the paddle aims the ball.
Fishing
Players use the Wii remote in a fishing fashion to hook specific paper
fish and then yank upwards to grab them.
Find Mii
Crowds of Mii characters will gather on the screen and the player is
given certain details to look for among them. The player then must pick
out the proper Mii that matches the objective.
Pose Mii
Players move their Miis about with the Wii remote and place themselves
in the exact location and position of floating transparent Miis to score
points.
Shooting
Players go through various rounds of shooting balloons, targets, clay
pigeons, ducks, etc. Up to four players can play.
Billiards
Play 9 Ball Billiards like traditional pool games found online. Players
line up their shot in both an overhead 2D and behind-the-ball style 3D
viewpoints. They pull the cue stick (Wii remote) backwards, then hit it
forward to launch the ball.
Charge!
The player takes a bull by the horns, steers the wild steer by holding
the Wii Remote sideways, as if gripping reins, and topple scarecrows to
score points.
Tanks
The player controls a tank with the Wii Remote; aims the cannon,
bounces shells off walls, and blast opponents.

Worth the extra dosh
Reviewed by Gemma from Auckland, NZ on July 15th, 2007
This is definitely a must-have if you are picking up an extra Wii Remote.
As many people have stated before myself, the extra $10 is well worth the purchase. Wii Play is a nice little game to add to your collection. Its obviously not as deep or entralling as full price Wii games, but it's fun. I wouldn't say it is as good as Wii Sports, but it does its job.
The games in Wii Sports are based more on motion, whilst the games on Wii Play are based mostly on pointing. This can make it a little harder, and more tedious. Also, as far as I can tell, Wii Play is only 2 player maximum, which is fine for playing against a friend, but a wee boring for those not playing when you have a room full of people.
Overall I'd say if you are going to buy another Wii remote, and haven't already got Wii Play, pick it up. It's definitely worth your $10, but don't expect an epic.
excellent deal

*groan* seems people still need to lighten up a little... i'm tired of seeing everybody saying "...*blerh* you'll only play it for an hour..." or "...*blerh* if you're over 12 (like me) it won't keep you entertained for long..." the games on this disc are FANTASTIC for what they are... ESPECIALLY for $10... i've had, on many occasions now, rooms full of people enjoying the games on this disc... some of the more strange ones can be addictive AS after you play them for a while, especially when having battles with other people :P~ a lot of fun!!
Must have two Wii Remotes
Reviewed by Richard from Manukau, NZ on January 6th, 2007
Wii remote is superb, and a must have for two player games, which adds even more fun to the Wii. The 9 mini games that come with the remote, however, are average at best. If you are over 12 you won't play any of the games more than once. But, if you are going to buy another remote, you may as well get this package, you'll get about an hours fun out of the games.
Won't last, but 100% worth it
Reviewed by Robert B on December 11th, 2006
If you're planning on buying a 2nd Wii remote this package is a must. $10 more than a remote by itself, and worth it. Some of the titles are tedious, but the Tank, Shooting and Billiards games have a bit of replay value and with some friends is a bit of fun. Although simplistic, these 3 make the title worth the money.
Play it for a while tho, and you'll be after a real game to play. Makes a good coffee break game.
What can I say?
Reviewed by Buttonfly on December 11th, 2006
What CAN I say? This is a nice, simple little bundle. So, in keeping with that theme, I'll keep this brief.
The object of this purchase is to get yourself an additional Wii Remote, and of course you do. The question becomes, do I want to spend ten extra dollars to give me some extra mini games? Why would I want these?
If your going to get an extra Remote, the extra ten isn’t much. That aside, are the mini games worth it? Absolutely. Their purpose is to give you insight into the extents of what you've purchased in your Wii. It'll teach you the basic things you can do with the series of mini games, and it will entertain you while you do it. It also allows for some nice quick party play- which is the best part with your now multiple Remotes.
Can ten dollars buy you a little bit of happiness?
Absolutely.
There is no reason not to make this purchase.
Good value but won't last long
Reviewed by Ahmad from New Zealand on December 9th, 2006
The Wii as its name implies, is about playing *together*, and obviously to do this you will require another "Wii-mote". This package offers excellent value, obviously being priced at only $10 more than the Wii-mote on its own.
While Wii Sports is a great pack-in title to demonstrates the Wii-mote's motion sensing abilities, Wii Play offers an excellent introduction to the finer details of the Wii-mote capabilities. Each of the 9 mini-games introduces another aspect of the Wii-mote that, at first glance, you might not easily realise it was capable of.
It offers first time players a fun and casual tutorial in the ways of the Wii-mote, but there is little here that you are likely to want to come back to. Of the 9 mini-games, personal tastes will ensure that you will probably quite like two or three of them, hate another couple, and be ok with the rest.
The bottom line is that this serves its intended purpose of introducing new players to the Wii and Wii-mote capabilities in a fun way that will keep you entertained for a short time. At only $10 more than the standard Wii-mote, it helps soften the blow when it comes to the steep accessory pricing in this part of the world. However it is unlikely that you will still be playing Wii Play a few months down the track, especially with the quality Wii titles we are being promised in the near future.
