Best Civ Builder arround.

I gave the game a 10. I can't write a review that gives this game the credit that is due.
This game is definitely aimed at those who enjoy strategy/civ games. Though, many will find that they don't enjoy it at all.
While their is no game defined goals for any civ, if you play as any one of the civillisations, you'll find that you're goals are apparent. Stay alive.
The game might be very overbearing to those who haven't played it before, and it has quite a high learning curve. Playing the tutorials, and reading the FAQ on the Paradox Interactive Forum (which you gain access to when you register your game... you can also get some mods for the game, and alot of help from the community), will definitely help you along on this.
Graphically, the game is average, and something you'd expect from the late 90's. It shows, since the game is only about 400mb. The game does not suffer from this though.
The game doesn't rely on looking flash, nor does it rely on forcing you to play according to their style. You have alot of freedom, which is refreshing in a historical game. As it recreates history according to your affects on events and relationships between nations.
The game is quite slow, but this doesn't adversely affect the game experience, and you can speed through the eras of peace by increasing the speed.
For me, a history buff and strat/civ game fan, this game is one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a while. While the game, and others like it, will never become mainstream, it is definitely worth a try.
Only real downside is that I can't find anyone who sells the expansion, Napoleon's Ambition. I've trieed EB, Gamesman and GPStore... But I'll continue looking.
