It's nice to see manufacturers making Gamecube controllers available again. However I have become a bit despondent with this brand. I've been given two of these from a mate so we can play Super Smash Bros Melee.

The Good.

Responsive to input - very little lag
Turbo button - great for 15min melee with DK :)

The Bad.

Cord is too short. From memory a lot of Gamecube controllers had short cords, but this is made worse with the design of the wii - top loading ports.
Flimsy. After a couple of days the rumble fell out and now rattles in the hand grip.
Analogue sticks contacts tend to stick, which spells doom in most games.

Quirks.

Slightly different button shapes to official GC controllers. Not a major but enough to throw off some people.
The cool grippy rubber on the analogue sticks gets very dirty quickly (even with clean hands) and is near impossible to clean.

Overall.

A good go at a third party product - definitely not the best or worst I've seen, but probably won't stand up to the beatings from games like Smash Bros for long. Thanks GP for providing us with these hard to find accessories.
