Burnout 5 gives players license to wreak havoc in Paradise City, the ultimate seamless racing battleground, with a massive infrastructure of traffic-heavy roads to abuse. Gone is the need to jump in and out of menus and aimlessly search for fun like many open world games; in Burnout 5, every inch of the world is built to deliver heart-stopping Burnout-style gameplay. Every intersection is a potential crash junction and every alleyway is an opportunity to rack up moving violations.
Of course, rules are made to be broken, and when gamers enter Paradise City, they’re assigned a Drivers License that quickly begins to amass a record of player’s most aggressive, reckless and destructive exploits behind the wheel. But it’s not the law that’s eyeing player’s progress … when gamers push things too hard they’ll be squaring off against the city’s most infamous burners, and these legends aren’t interested in who crosses the finish line first.
Features:
- Burnout: Paradise is all about having a seamless, open-world gameplay experience.
- The entire world is unlocked from the start.
- There are 34 AI drivers in the world all present from the start of the game.
- The player starts each game session in free-burn, with no set path through the game.

Burnout makes HD debut

I bought this new release Burnout game on PS3 with no expectations, and I was impressed! Definitely a big improvement to the last series, gameplay has improved, and more challengers mode, Burnout in HD on the LCD TV does look beautiful, when you drive along the river/seaside of the roads, you can really see the water flowing nicely, graphically brilliant, a must buy for any burnout and racing car game fans!

Sweet game

This is a really good turn in the series in my opinion. Free roaming in burnout is so much fun because there's so much stuff to do when you're just cruising around. I love the intensity of having to race on roads with no boundaries instead of a set circuit. It gives the game a little more of a challenge than previous burnouts. Just a brilliant game. If you think free roaming sucks then you won't after playing Burnout Paradise so don't be put off just because of that. Obviously the graphics are better and crash physics are really impressive. Love seeing my car crumple accordingly in a head-on collision in slow motion :) Speed in this game is pretty staggering at times too.
Just get this game if you like Burnout and if you've never played it, start here.
Must have arcade racer

A truly brilliant arcade racing game that sticks to many of the traditions set by the earlier Burnout titles. The free roam driving adds an entirely new aspect to the game. The graphics are truly stunning, and once the game is up and running, load times are non-existent. Definitely a game worth adding to your collection :) The crash physics really do live up to the "next gen" expectations
