Product Description
New to the PlayStation Eye is a noise-cancelling microphone which reduces background noise to focus on your speech when chatting to people online. Meanwhile, the camera itself can be used to take photographs and create videos or audio files, which can then be saved to the PS3's hard drive. The Eye Camera also comes bundled with software - called EyeCreate - for editing or adding "eye-catching effects" to your creations.
Eye Camera can capture up to 120 frames per second, for smoother video, and is engineered to work in low-light too, meaning it doesn't need a brightly lit room to function properly. There's also an adjustable zoom lens, featuring a 56 field of view for head-and-shoulder chat, plus a 75 field of view to capture the whole body, doubtless for EyeToy-style arm-waving games.

Probably not worth the money

Purchased a Playstation Eye earlier today, and so far I can't see the point of owning it. With the on line multi player games such as Uno on Xbox 360 the Vision Camera was well worth it. But this one kinda feels like a waste of money :(
Going to buy Trails of Topaq and Aqua Vita from the PSN tomorrow and see how I feel about it after that. But all in all it kind of feels like Sony only made it because Xbox360 has a camera, and as a result haven't really backed it properly. Camera required content that isn't rubbish is rather slim on the PSN.

This little camera is VERY cool...its very fun to play around with, take a photo or a video of something or someone and twist it up to make it look funny...theres alot of great games to download on the playstation 3 store for the ps eye.
