great controller, shouldve been released as standard. good weight doesnt feel like its gonna blow out of your hands, not having any trouble with battery so far, have had for one month and lasts at least 8 hours on full charge
Awesomeness

lmao @ Timothy's fanboy 'copy' defence rant.
But anyway, these controllers are great. I got one overseas awhile back, and love it. I am considering getting an extra one for when friends/family/girlfriend wants to play.
Solid controller for your PS3

I got one of these when they came out in Japan and have been enjoying it ever since. The pad has more heft than the sixaxis, due to the incorporation of motors for the force feedback. Rumble is about the same level as from a dualshock/dualshock 2 and works fine when using motion controls. Battery life is not quite as good as on the sixaxis, but again this is attributable to the force feedback motors. A good, solid choice.
Outstanding controller

This controller is a big improvement to Dual Shock 2. This is a must have if you have Gran Trusimo 5 Prologue.
You can say Sony has copied the centre button of the Xbox 360 but then Microsoft has copied the shoulder L2 & R2 buttons from PS2 controller. Some will say the motion sensor has been copied from Nintendo Wii but then motion sensors are common to next generation entertainment.
Dual Shock 3 sets the benchmark due to being wireless, having built-in battery that can charge through a USB cable, Six AXIS motion sensor and vibration from Dual Shock 1 & 2.
Other controllers don't have this kind of battery unless you don't mind paying extra for rechargeable packs. Another option is buying AA batteries but I find that rather inconvenient.
My only concern is if built-in battery for DS3 dies out after several charges. Will we be able to buy a new battery or do we have to buy a new controller. But then we may eventually need to buy another one due to wear and tear.
So far, so good you should get one if your game supports Dual Shock feature. However I must warn you DS3 is heavy as DS1 & 2 but I don't care as it's not a surprise really. DS1 is heavier than Playstation 1's controller.
