Amazing Customization

I haven't got to far into this game YET, but I can tell what I like so far.
Chararcter customization is amazing. You can make Men AND Women this time around. You can make them look like Bodybuilders, or you can make them look extremely obese, you can make them look Aneroexic, and EVERYTHING in between. You also get to customize your characters walking style, taunt, praise and VOICE.
Yes, this time around your character doesn't act like Silent Bob and has a lot to say :)
Gameplay is essentially similiar to first game, although this time around you can actually use items in the environment as weapons which is really cool - makes the game feel a bit like "Dead Rising" in that respect.
The graphics are improved over the original game, but this also means that returning characters look slightly different.
My only disappointment so far is that you can't import your character from the first game - hopefully they fix that for future games. They have also gotten rid of "WMD K-BOOM" radio station, so now all the radio stations are music base (afaik).
If you enjoyed the first game, and feel like more, get this.

Being a fan of Saints Row, I was looking forward to seeing Stillwater a second time around.
However, this time around Volition have really outdone themselves. Everything is revamped and new. It's like being a completely different town.
The graphics are more improved and the amount of customization available from the beginning of the game is truly amazing. You can choose gender, look, taunts, mannerisms and even voice.
Which is amazing since there is a lot more speech in this game.
With 6 voice choices, that's a lot!
The fighting system is great, I love brawling with my fists, as when you fight with melee attacks and launch a combo, it looks devastating!
I especially like the katana and some of the combos you can pull with that. Deliciously violent.
Also, the amount of side activities has expanded greatly. Car surfing, Ho-ing (you heard me right), base jumping, Sewage Avenger... the list goes on and guess what? They're fun to play!
Some great additions missing from the first Saints Row 1 are the abilities to drive planes, motorbikes are finally there and the most important... Blood.
I could rave on about how great this game is, but instead do yourself a favour and buy it.

The first of the saints row games was one of the best games ive ever played on anything ever created the amount of custimization was mint and saints row 2 is ment to have even more things to do so if you dont buy this your loss..
See where all the 'innovations' for GTAIV came from.

I brought Saints Row 1 on a whim, it was on special somewhere for $34. I couldn't get enough of the game. It was the most fun I have ever had with my clothes on.
In Saints Row 2 they build on the elements that made the original awesome and manage to cram in 7 more flavours of awesome. Buy this game and it will make GTAIV seem like a total waste of money, which it was.
Not a GTA clone. A GTA killer!!!

Hopefully does not make us want more like GTA4 did. It looks like it wont be trying for the realistic feel that GTA4 tried too, which is not what this type of game is about.
If you own/owned the first one, this will be a must buy.
