Pretty! but buggy!

I like many, can unfortunately only play this for an hour or so with-out the game crashing. Ascaron has recommended NOT to use the Elite Grfx pack until further notice so probalbly best to leave until a few patches down the road.
Ascaron Forums BTW very helpful community so check it out.
Elte Grfx pack looks awesome when it works!
Pity Ascaron had'nt sorted out the same buggy problems from S1 when releasing S2 :(
Diablo + Neverwinter Nights = Sacred 2

Not a bad game, not a great game.
Since installing I've been able to play for no longer than an hour without it crashing to the desktop. Even after installing the latest 2.11.2 updates I only managed to play for 10mins before it crashed.
After some googling I've found that it's very common and most likely caused by my SB X-fi card.
The game has some pretty hefty requirements. Elite version recommends a Core Duo and you'll need like 20gig to install everything.
The only good thing so far is the DRM is easy to get around if you're lacking an internet connection on your play pc (my internet died the day before it arrived). If you have a friend with a net connection they can activate it using a code provided during installation.
My advice is to save your money and wait till it's more stable... maybe update v3 or v4

I bought the original Sacred, the bug filled mess that it was, and had hoped Ascaron had improved from this. It hasn't. Sacred 2 comes with as many bugs but with added DRM, only 2 activations and everyone's favourite, Securom. Wait for the inevitable patches and "Gold" edition that will follow.
