I've played every version of Command & Conquer and this is everything I would have expected of the next version. Excellent gameplay and graphics. Plus, now you can fight at sea too!
WhatIfGaming writes: "Command & Conquer 3: Red Alert 3 Ultimate Edition is definitely the best title to get if you are a newcomer to the franchise on the PS3 or are just looking for the next best thing in Command & Conquer 3: Red Alert 3, which features plenty of remnants from the series' past, but is resilient of leaning too much on its history own history. Ultimate Edition far outweighs the regular pack and brings a more genuine new game experience while still smoothly including design from past iterations. Command & Conquer 3: Red Alert 3 continues venerated Command & Conquer traditions of fast-paced gameplay, innovative unit design, and incredible cutscenes for one amazing game."
A great little RTS

Being a fan of the Red Alert franchise for years, I was excited that the game was being ported to the PS3 since I don't own an Xbox360 nor a grunty computer. The developers certainly put a lot of effort into making this port work and it certainly shows.
The bonus material that was on the LE edition of the PC has made it to the PS3 version so you don't really feel left out having to wait for this port. The only thing I wish they include in the bonus content was the David "The Hoff" Hasslehoff commercials.
The storyline is still ridiculously cheesy (even cheesier than Red Alert 2), and the gameplay has been ramped up considerably since the last iteration. Each unit his it's own special abilities, which will used properly will help you destroy your enemies. Graphics is great in this port as well with no real noticable/gamebreaking slowdowns when the action gets going.
There are a few gripes that, while not gamebreaking, certainly affects how you enjoy RTS. The control system is definitely clunky, and it would take a while to adjust and master if you have played a lot of RTS on the PC with a mouse and keyboard. And you are limited to 50 units you can build so you really need to be careful on what you want to build rather than send it a massive rush of foot soldiers and Apocalpyse Tanks. There's a major bug where the audio will just complete cut out, which has been attribute to having dts enabled in the PS3 system so bear this in mind when you play this game.
Aside from that, it's definitely a good game to pick up if you are wanting a little RTS for your PS3.

Everyone rubbishes this game cuz it was made by EA, I think it is a cool game, the graphics arent as good as killzone but still are pretty good. the campigns pretty solid and havent had a chance to go online yet, the other 2 reviewers havent played much apparently because A) there is a setting to change difficulty of AI in skirmish and B) the booundary limits depend on what faction you are. the only real con i can find with this game is the glitches, like when the sound randomly gets choppy or none at all, and a bonus objective on soviet missino 6 doesnt activate sometimes.. apart from that, i reccomend it. it should be dissapointed
A must buy for PS3 RTS fans.

So far the PS3 has been let down on the RTS front, this is about to change thankfully! I have been a fan of C&C since the PS1 and this is an excellent reinvention of a classic title.
I have been playing the PC version for a while now, this release is exciting news for Sony and the PS3!
PROS:
- Great new units and with huge variety of them as well as unique abilities and special weapons.
- 3 amazing factions, especially the Japanese (awesome when used properly).
- Good variety of maps and with lots of potential for naval battles.
- Beautiful visuals and lots of humor as always.
Cons:
-Camera doesnt pull back quite enough.
- AI still takes some strange routes.
-No option for AI difficulty in skirmish modes.
If you are into RTS and have a PS3, you have to get this!
Good Game! 5*****

I have played this on other consoles*** Pc/Xbox 360
Pros:
* Uses the best game engine for an RTS game out! (My opinion)
* Amazing water effects
* Brings back the good old days of twisted time and teleportation
* Online Co-op on missions
* Build most buildings on water
* Plus more
Cons: (Only a few cons but its still an awesome game)
* The harvesters do not collect from Gold/Gems scattered around the map, instead you place a refinery in front of a mine and in and out it goes.
* The boundary only grows bigger if you place an outpost or an mvc to extend it.
Some people would have different opinions.
