David is not a noob... you can hear yourself sing!

Stop calling David a noob. I'm a seasoned singstarer and I have to say that you can't turn yourself down on this one. Yes, you can turn yourself up and down using your L1 and L2 but it does NOT turn you down very much. So be prepared to belt it out hearing yourself! You have to have practically no shame to play this singstar game...
I gave this four stars because I think that A Kind of Magic should have been on it. And because you can barely turn yourself down.
What an awesome game. Thank God I have no shame, otherwise I would never play it.

David - You can adjust your singing volume with the shoulder buttons on the controller.....Did you try reading the manual before you returned it?
My Wife has a huge collection of Singstar games, she would love to try this one. Maybe if it goes on special I'll get it for her birthday.

Love the Game, Would say its one of the best singstars games i have out of the ones i have.
Have spend hours on it. its a race to the playstation between me and my 4 year old, Who loves this game to!!
Would Recommend this game to anyone at all ages!!

I would like to point out that this is 'just another singstar game' and won't offer anything particularly new. I actually own this on PS3 but want to point out something the other reviewer has stated...
Every Singstar game has an option to turn up/down the mic volume!! You just press L2/R2 (i think) and that will adjust it to the way you want it. Makes me laugh he sent it back for a 'faulty batch' xD
Anyway, unless you are a diehard Queen fan, you are probably better off with one of the other singstar games avaliable.
I dont want to hear myself sing!

The following are quotes from forums regarding this singstar and it reflects what I thought and felt when I got my copy today and tried it:
"I was really looking forward to this, but unfortunatley the first copy I received the volume on the tracks was so quiet you can't hear the music, so I returned it to Amazon as faulty and they sent a replacement. The replacement is exactly the same, so either its a faulty batch or a big mistake by the makers of singstar!"
"Although this had the potential to be the best SingStar, there seems to have been one small change that really ruins it.
Everything starts well, but as soon as you start to sing, the volume on the backing track is lowered to the extent that you feel like you're singing without one. This takes all the fun out of it!"
I thought it was just me until the wife said it is actually happening. Worse still, I know I sound terrible but I really don't want it confirmed over the speakers!
However, if you are a die-hard fan AND sound really great - then this is a must have.
