Product Description

Play TV is an accessory for the Playstation 3 that basically turns your PS3 into upper spec TV set top box further enhancing the multimedia features of the PS3.

PLEASE NOTE: The 7-day EPG does not currently work in New Zealand although support is expected to be added in a future update. EPG is currently limited to "Now and Next" functionality.

Play TV Listed Functions:

  • Record and view your favourite programmes at the same time - Play TV enables you to record both Standard Definition as well as High Definition.
  • Personal Video Recorder functionality - watch live TV, pause, fast forward and rewind.
  • Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) to show what's on, now and next - up to 7 days in advance in certain countries. 
  • Mobile TV functionality - export content easily from PS3 HDD to PSP - watch TV on the go! Thanks to live streaming, you can watch your favourite show whilst abroad.
  • Channel surf with either your BD remote or your Sixaxis

This is a great device and for the price very resonable. I have this device and it works great in NZ, allowing me to watch, record and playback HD content.

The only drawback if the limited EPG, which at the moment only shows 2 hours in the future. This is likely to be fixed next year sometime before the official release.

Great device, and a Must buy for all PS3 owners.
