Sony release 2.42 update for PS3

Sony Computer Entertainment have released the latest System Software update for the PlayStation 3.

The official word from Sony is that version 2.42 improves the playback quality of some PlayStation 3 and PlayStation format software applications.

You can download the 2.42 firmware from GP Downloads here (130MB), and follow the discussion at GP Forums in this thread.
